MATERIAL INFO
Mild steel is a mixture of iron and carbon and is a strong, easy to work with option for exhaust systems. Though it is not resistant to corrosion it can be protected from surface rust when painted with high temp paint. Moisture build up inside the exhaust can rust mild steel from the inside out so it is not suitable for exhausts if vehicle is only used for short trips where the exhaust does not experience high temperatures.
